Arrive at Cairo Airport where you will be met by your Tour Guide, you will then be taken to a 5* Hotel. Your Tour Guide will arrange a meeting to discuss the itinerary. You will then have the rest of day to explore Cairo with your tour guide, or just take time out and relax. Lunch and Dinner will be provided.
After breakfast early morning you will be met by your Tour Guide who will take you to visit the following sites: The Pyramids: The most famous and well known of the Pyramids are those in Giza they are located on a Plateau on the West Bank of the River Nile on the outskirts of modern-day Cairo. The oldest and largest of the three pyramids at Giza, known as the Great Pyramid, is the only surviving structure out of the famed Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was built for Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops, in Greek), Sneferu’s successor and the second of the eight Kings of the 4th dynasty. Karl Richard Lepsius (Prussin Egyptologist) recorded 67 pyramids in 1842 known as the Lepsius list and in 2008 it was believed that 118 Pyramids had been identified with many more to be discovered (Your Tour Guide will provide further information on the day). Cairo Museum: The museum was built in in 1902 in Tahir Square to house the grand artifacts and have remained there since. The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), also known as the Giza Museum is currently being under construction and will house the exhibitions and artifacts. At the end of your tours, you will be taken for lunch to a local restaurant to experience and enjoy real Egyptian Cuisine. After Lunch your guide will take you to visit Saint Virgin Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church also known as the Hanging Church (El Muallaqa). This is one of the oldest churches in Egypt and the history of the church on this site dates back to the 3rd Century A.D. After your spiritual experience you will have free time to relax and reflect, or explore the sights and the sounds of this busy vibrant city. You will be taken back to the hotel for dinner in the evening.
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore Cairo further (Your Tour Guide will explain ) or you have the option to stay at the hotel too relax. Lunch and Dinner will be provided at the hotel.
After breakfast you will check out of the hotel and be taken by your Tour Guide to the airport for your flight to Aswan On arrival in Aswan you will be met by your Tour Guide. You will be taken by car/mini-bus for the start of your tours. You will visit the following sites : Aswan High Dam (Arabic (Al- Saad al – Ali) Enjoy the view and the size of this beautiful creation. Construction of the Aswan High Dam began on 9th January 1960 and was completed on July 21st, 1970. The dam is more than two miles long. The massive $2 billion dam ended the cycle of flood and drought in the River Nile region. Philae Temple – Arabic- Jazirat Filah (Phalae Island) or Jazirat al Birba (“Temple Island”) Philae in Greek in Ancient Egyptian, P-aaleq or Pilak meaning ‘the end,’ or remote place. Construction of the temple was begun by Ptolemy II and completed by the Roman Emperors. The Temple was dedicated to the Goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus. Due to the construction of the Dam, the temple was moved from its original site to the island to preserve (your Tour Guide will provide further information on the day). After the tour your Guide will escort you to your ship for the start of your Nile Cruise. Buffet Lunch will be provided. You will have the option to explore this colourful city with your Tour Guide or if you wish you can spend a relaxing time on the ship. Evening meal will be served.
After breakfast you will have the option to visit Abu Simbel before the ship set sail for Kom Ombo City in the afternoon (You can discuss this further with your Tour Guide as this tour will be at an additional cost to the standard programme being offered) or just relax on the boat and take in the ambience of the sight and sounds of Aswan City. Abu Simbel Temples are located on the west bank of the Nile River, approximately 230 km southwest of Aswan in an area known as Nubia. Abu Simbel, site of two temples built by the Egyptian King Ramses II (reigned 1279-13 BCE), now located in Aswān muḥāfaẓah (governorate), Southern Egypt. Carved out of the rock, the temples were constructed not only to serve as a place of worship, but also as a lasting monument to Ramses the Great and his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari. You will return to the ship for a buffet lunch, you will then set sail from Aswan to Kom Ombo City where you will visit Kom Ombo Temple. Kawm Umbu also spelt Kom Ombo / Kum Umbu is situated on the Nile between Aswan and Edfu (Upper Egypt) Here you will be able to explore this unique double Temple which boasts courthalls, sanctuaries, and rooms which are dedicated to two Gods the Southern half was dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek the God of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor the Goddess of love and joy and Khonsu the God of the Moon. The Northern part is dedicated to Horus the “God of the Sun” and Tasenetnofret “The Good Sister After your tour you will return to the shipfor your evening meal and entertainment. The ship will then set sail to Edfu City for an overnight stay.
After breakfast you will be taken by your Tour Guide to Edfu Temple by horse and carriage. The Temple is located on the West Bank of the Nile and is one of the largest and well-preserved temples in Egypt. It is believed to be one of the oldest temples which is dedicated to the Falcon God Horus. You will return to the ship for breakfast. The ship will then set sail for Luxor. While sailing to Luxor, lunch will be provided. On arrival in Luxor, you will be taken to visit the following sites: Karnak Temple The Temple is located on the East Bank of the the River Nile and is well over 2000 yrs old. The temple was previously known as Ipet – Isut ( “The most sacred of places”) and is dedicated to the Theban triad Amun, Mut and Khonsu comprising of temples chapels, kiosks pylons and obelisks it is one of the largest temples to have been built in Egypt Luxor Temple This is a magnificent building that was built in dedication to the rejuvenation to Kingship and it is believed that many a King was crowned and coronations were held in this magnificent open air temple ( Your Tour Guide will explain in-depth about the history of the temples). You will be taken back to your ship for dinner and entertainment.
After breakfast you will disembark from the ship. You will be taken to a 5* Hotel for your 1 night stay in Luxor. After checking into your room, you will then be taken to the West Bank of the Nile by boat with your Tour Guide where you will visit the following sites: Valley of the Kings (Tickets will include entry into 3 of the tombs). Valley of the Kings is located on the West Bank of Luxor and is the ancient burial site of the Pharaoh’s. Here you will be able to visit three tombs (this will be dependent on which tombs are available for viewing on the day). You will also have the option to visit the well-known tomb of Tutankhamun (which was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922) however, his remains are now situated at Cairo Museum (Please discuss further with your Tour Guide if you wish to visit). After visiting The Valley of the Kings you will be taken to Hatshepsut Temple – Djeser Djeseru (Holy of Holiest) Hatshepsut was known as the second female Pharaoh of Egypt and was the wife of Thutmose II part of the 18th Dynasty. Hatshepsut ruled from 1479 – 1458 BC. Hatshepsut was known for establishing trade networks and embarking on a prolific programme of building including her amazing temple. You will then be taken by car / Minibus to visit the statue of Colossi Memnon These wonderful massive statues are of Amenhotep III. Carved into the stones alongside him are his wife Tiye and his mother Mutemwiya. The side panels depict the Nile God Hapi. After your tours you will be taken to a local restaurant to experience and enjoy real authentic Egyptian Cuisine. After lunch you will be taken to back to your hotel (please discuss with your Tour Guide if you wish to further visit Luxor City Centres or the Market) Dinner will be provided at the hotel.
After breakfast, you will check out from your room at 8am. You will be able to leave your luggage at Reception. You will be met by your car/minibus and Tour Guide. You will be taken to visit the following sites: Temple of Dendera The temple complex of Dendera (Denderah) is one of the best preserved complexes in Egypt. It lies around 2.5km south-east of Dendera (known to the ancient Egyptians as Lunet or Tantere) the 6th Nome of Upper Egypt. The whole complex extends to around 40,000 square metres and is surrounded by a large mud-brick enclosure wall. Temple of Abydos The Temple of Abydos, a very ancient place of worship, is located in Abydos, one of the oldest cities in Upper Egypt. Abydos is located in the low desert west of the river Nile near Al Balyana. This site comprise of super-structures that are located close to each other. Abydos holds a holy significance for ancient Egyptians as it was the seat of God Osiris. Thus it was believed that Abydos was the place that opened up to the underworld. Lunch will be provided. You will be taken back to the hotel to collect your luggage. You will travel by car/mini bus to Hurghada where you will stay in a 5* resort to enjoy the rest of your holiday
On your first day stay at the resort, after breakfast you will have the opportunity to meet with the Company Representative who will discuss with you other tours that is being offered.
After breakfast you will checkout from your room. Dependent on your departure time you will remain on the resort until you need to be escorted to the airport. You will be taken by car/mini-bus to the airport for your return flight home. Lunch will be provided, if required. This will be at an additional charge
